FAQs

Have you always wanted to write?

Yes. Writing was always something I wanted to do at least semi-professionally. The main obstacle has always been free time to devote to it.

Why did you choose to self publish your first book?

Though we may have gotten some great advice and guidance from experienced people in the field, we knew what we wanted as far as the content was concerned. Having spent so many hours reading to both children it was clear what we liked and what we found lacking. We had control over the final product. The favorite books in the house will probably never leave.

Would you work with a traditional publisher?

I would love to work with a traditional publisher should the right offer come.

What was the hardest thing about finishing the book?

Deciding on a point to ‘leave it alone’. A creative work it will never be ‘perfect’ or suitable for everyone. Once it fits the goals and parameters decided upon, and takes on the artistic appearance that is pleasing: leave it be. I always want something to be just a little bit better and this was the most difficult part of finishing the book.
